Alfa Romeo ROMETTO (Designed within the framework of SPD Milano*)

Alfa Romeo ROMETTO is a conceptual tribute to the iconic Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider Duetto, the celebrated “Osso di Seppia” originally designed by Battista Pininfarina. The Duetto was defined by its purity of form, flowing boat-tail rear, and perfectly balanced proportions, a timeless expression of Italian sports car design.

ROMETTO builds on that legacy by preserving the spirit and elegance of the original while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. Classic proportions and sculptural clarity are combined with sharper surfacing and a modern design language, creating a dialogue between heritage and innovation.

Toyota Semi-Autonomous Concept - Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022 Mobility Vision (Designed within the framework of SPD Milano*)

The challenge was clear: millions of visitors arriving in a country with a relatively small population, all within a short time frame. The pressure on transportation infrastructure during the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022 demanded a solution that was flexible, scalable, and intelligent.

This concept proposes a Toyota semi-autonomous vehicle designed specifically for high-density event mobility. It operates in two modes — fully drivable when needed, and semi-autonomous in controlled urban or event zones — allowing seamless adaptation to traffic conditions and user needs.

The goal was not to eliminate the driver, but to support large-scale movement efficiently while maintaining control, safety, and reliability. Designed to function as both a personal vehicle and a coordinated transport solution for visitors, the project explores how smart mobility can respond to temporary population surges without compromising flow or experience. A vision for adaptive transportation built for global moments.
